2010 is the year of kicking ass. Or the year of the tiger... who kicks ass.
Either way, I've set a lot of goals and already achieved much in the first quarter of the year.

I am boldly announcing (so I have witnesses to worry about if I don't execute it) a bold new blog project which I am titling "Evil of the Week." As the winner of the "Miss Evil 2010," I have decided to share my vast resource of Evil knowledge through an ongoing art project. Each week, I will be sketching and sharing a different incarnation of EVIL. These Evils can be drawn from the fantasies of myth and fable to the realities of current events and personal life. I just thought this up a few hours ago, so I'm not exactly sure about WHEN in the week this will occur...

Recent Illustration work includes-

I've also completed a particularly awesome wedding invitation, which will be posted shortly.

Performance wise, I have been focusing on skill building endeavors rather than shows. I recently joined with SPINERGY ARTS and have been learning poi and dance skills in the past few months. Can't do anything mind blowing... yet... but the fun is just beginning.

2009.01.28- Help protect hand made toys!

as an appropriate follow up to my last post, i wanted to draw everyone's attention to a new act that will make handmade toys either very expensive to make or illegal to sell, basically wiping out the entire handmade crafts community.
this act is the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)
it requires all toy makers to pay $300-$4000 for third party testing of EACH toy made. i can't afford that, and i'm sure my fellow independent crafters can't either.
please, if you want to help prevent this, go to http://www.handmadetoyalliance.org/ for more information. sign the petition, write your congress people.
you have twelve days.
